With the introduction of Item Crafting and Gem Carving, there's nothing left in the game that doesn't have a use currently! Hooray, big milestone. This update also marks the start of me posting more information to the forums about upcoming features, etc.
For now, however, I am simply too sleepy, so I'll say:
1) I know I need to display crafting materials/gem fragments somewhere more prominent (aka not only the market)
2) Yes, the crafting/carving UI probably IS ugly.
3) Honestly, I had at least 2 other points, but I forgot them. I'll add them in if I remember when I'm less sleepy.
Expect another post in the next few days about upcoming features, etc etc.
CRAFTING
- What do I need to start crafting?
* A level 5 house with a Workshop (house room) and a Crafting Table (item in the workshop)
* A hammer.
- I want to go AFK while crafting. Can I start an item queue to continue crafting so I don't have to check back constantly when
my items are done?
* Sure! For every level on your Crafting Table, you can queue up one additional item to automatically start working on
once you're done crafting your current item.
- Can I stop crafting an item before it's finished?
* Yup, you sure can! If your item is less than halfway completed, you'll have the option to scrap the item, which
will make it disappear and you will not be reimbursed at all. If you're at least halfway done crafting the item,
you can choose to "finalize" it early, which will give you the item as it is.
- If I'm level 20, can I craft a level 40 item?
* Your character level is irrelevant as to what you can and cannot craft - that is determined by your crafting level.
For every crafting level you have, you can craft an item one level higher. So if you have crafting level 40, you can
craft up to level 40 items!
- Your teaser links showed crystal boosts on items. How do I get that?
* Better bonuses are unlocked with higher crafting level. For example, you can start adding skill bonuses to your
items once you're at crafting level 20. Additionally, you have a higher chance of applying said bonuses if your
crafting level is higher than the item you're working on!
CARVING
- What do I need to start carving?
* A level 5 house with a Workshop (house room) and a Carving Bench (item in the workshop)
* A saw.
- I want to go AFK while carving. Can I start an item queue to continue carving so I don't have to check back constantly when
my items are done?
* Sure! For every level on your Carving Bench, you can queue up one additional item to automatically start working on
once you're done carving your current gem.
- Can I stop carving an item before it's finished?
* Yup, you sure can! You can choose to scrap the gem, which will make it disappear and you will not be reimbursed at all.
- Hey, I thought there were more than four gem types? How come I can only carve stat gems, what gives?
* Every 10 carving levels you will unlock new gem types to make, up until level 50. At that point, you can make
lower tier versions of said gems. So even if you unlock a gem type at carving level 50, you will be able to make
level 0 gems of that type afterwards.
- Can I just get 30 level 0 action timer reduction gems and be OP?
* No, those can only be socketed into boots. Certain other gems have similar restrictions as well. You can
explore that on your own though!
