This suggestion is based upon the thought that the problems with chat is whatever script is running it is being overloaded. I have not been paying too much attention to chat since I have been working every day that I played until now so if another reason was given I did not see but it seems likely.
Tie a check in with the fatigue counter that automatically disconnects players once they hit 100 (probably less but I just tossed in a number) fatigued actions chat disconnects so there are fewer players connected at any given time. With 900+ players online there seem to be many who are fatigued playing. I know personally I am usually fatigued while working (I use teamviewer to refresh from my phone when I can but not often) and then when I go to bed so there is no need to be connected to chat. The link to refresh stamina would then have a tie in to check if chat has been disconnected and reconnect if it has, or just continue on as norm if the player did not go inactive for too long Also might be an idea to add a manual disconnect/reconnect button so someone can do it if they want while they are active and do not really care about chat. This should at least help with the load.

I made a lot of other changes to help message-sending efficiency, but this is worth a shot too. We'll try it out.
