Id like to be able to have my laptop rest a little at night in sleep mode but it stops my actions. Is there anyway around without using another pc?

Your actions continue when you close your browser, until you get to 50 fatigue, then it stops.
You can increase the amount of offline fatigued actions you will do before the game stops your actions by upgrading the bed and dreamcatcher items in your house.
If you want to start doing actions again past that point, you must log back in to the game and replenish your stamina, there is no way around that.
