Tool costs seem way to high. The res earn between tiers doesn't even cover the cost of the next tool
example: My current level is 172: 38758562 exp per level / 20354 exp per action based on last hour average x 5 levels x 758 per action (pre clan tax no less) = 7276800 res earned between upgrades
next tool cost 774,108,660
774,108,660 / 7276800 = 106g per res would be the required selling cost to be able to afford the tool
or other way around if i sold at current market price 62 x 7276800 = 451,161,600 covering less then 60% of the cost if i put 100% of my res income in.
Note: Math was done at double and i do have a lot of boost but both are irrelevant since any boost changes the # of actions and output at the same rate (IE if quad was running id have double the res per action but half the actions for the same output between boosts). There are also some minor estimates (exp earned/required) but even if that 106 figure is +/- a couple % that is still way more then then 40-80 that res has sold for in the past couple months

Are you sure you wish to upgrade your Amethyst Pickaxe's level (+0.194 res/action) for 4,667,595,055 gold? You can't upgrade that tool right now. It would cost a total of 517,733,177,655 Gold to completely max that tool (+82 levels; +16.248 res/action). It pretty much gets impossible/inefficient as fuck to afford at the late levels Doesn't seem like a bug report though, that's just how they've been designed.

You can buy crystals with $$, sell on market, upgrade your tools.
Or you can go back to battling you fucks.

true, probably not a bug. maybe just design flaw? lack of consideration as to what would happen at the high levels back when it came out?
