So the rewrite finally went live... here's a list of changes that I can remember. I'm sure there are some that I forgot too.
UI:
Gameplay:
Preferences:
House:
Gauntlet:
Misc:
UI:
- The 'Event Titles' list looks different
- The 'House Bonus List' looks different
- The "Preference" list looks different
- Item level is now displayed in the inventory.
- Removed 'Title', 'Level', 'Kills', and 'Harvests' from the section that lists your referrals; now shows total actions and last active
instead and can be sorted/searched - The "Recent Activity" text (in the bottom right) is now a clickable link that you can use to show a slightly more detailed version
of your recent activity. - Changed the 'work-safe' theme a little bit.
- Made some minor visual improvements to tooltips.
- Crafting/Carving queue counters are now displayed in the crafting/carving window.
- Switched to using the default browser scrollbars, rather than a plugin. If they aren't themed, well, your browser doesn't
support theming them. - The battle window should be more readable on smaller screens.
- When viewing the options of a gem that's socketed into an item, there's now a back arrow that will take you to the item (should help
with owning gems in an item, etc) - The resources used for upgrading house items are now color-coded.
- When viewing your inventory, if your item has gems that you have ownership over, the gem count will now be displayed in green.
- A 'select all' button has been added to the mass deconstruct popup.
Gameplay:
- The Trash Compactor has received tier upgrades that allow you to specify that you'd like to save items with certain bonuses.
- Further increased the chance of adding a bonus while crafting an item of lower level than your crafting level.
- Randomly dropped items now have slightly randomized gemslot amounts. They can now have anywhere between the old value and the 'normal' value.
- Stat gain rate stops slowing down at 25000 stats
- Harvesting tools can now be shipped to your area for a gold fee so you don't have to travel.
- You now continue to perform actions even if you don't have the game open until you reach 50 fatigue (this limit can be increased with house items).
- The "Stat Boost" effect (note: not the crystal boost) now provides an additional chance of earning a stat each action, rather than simply increasing your crystal shop boost. This is a buff to the effect, no matter what your crystal shop boost is at and also means you can potentially earn two stats in a single action.
- The "Drop Boost" effect (note: not the crystal boost) now provides an additional chance of earning a random drop each action, rather than simply increasing your crystal shop boost. This is a buff to the effect, no matter what your crystal shop boost is at and also means you can potentially receive two drops in a single action. This does not apply to ingredient, quest, or event drops.
- You can now purchase minutes of the "Personal Drop Boost" effect from the Crystal Shop, but it probably isn't worth it, just like purchasing the "Personal Stat Boost" effect.
- The confirmation popup when performing actions on your crafting/carving queue can now be skipped if you hold ctrl while clicking the button.
- Reduced the requirements for event action milestones.
- Doubled the fame-based bonus for the gold reward on CAPTCHAs.
- You can now only have up to 1,000 items (weapons/armor) at a time.
- Activity logs that display items or gems now display them as they were when the log was created, rather than displaying their status at the time of viewing the log. However, this change means all previous logs with items or gems are broken.
- Guessing correctly on the quest completion pick a number thing now always rewards 20% of the highest number as a bonus. No longer do you have to feel bad about actually trying to guess instead of picking the highest number.
- When viewing item options, the list of gems able to be socketed are now sorted by tier, then sorted by whether the item has a gem of the same type, then alphabetically.
- Gems with a Crystal Shop bonus now add 0.667% to the boost (1% if owned). Stamina gems are unchanged.
- Monster XP/Gold values were redone to compensate for XP/Gold gem nerfs.
Preferences:
- Sound now plays when crafting queue completes if the option is on
- A new preference for the Global channel has been added, allowing you to decide which types of global messages you'll receive when the channel is turned on
House:
- Trees were renamed to Fake Plastic Trees
- Items that you don't have funds to build now have a line through them in the quick build list
- The Bed now increases your offline fatigue limit by a percentage of your maximum stamina, based on its level and tier.
- The Dreamcatcher now increases your offline fatigue limit by a percentage of your maximum stamina, based on its level.
- A new house item, the Mannequin, has been added. It allows you to save equipment "loadouts," to make swapping gear sets easier, for those of you who use a different set for battling than you do for harvesting, etc.
Gauntlet:
- The Gauntlet now provides 1.25 minutes of double per boss killed (down from 2 minutes), but gives additional double to those who participated.
- You can now queue up to join the Gauntlet at any point during the 5 minute notification window. Doing so will automatically join the event when it begins.
Misc:
- Made wiring a bit easier. The game now attempts to figure out which currency you're trying to send even if you don't type the full word, as long as you type at least 4 characters. So if you want to wire Crafting Materials, you can wire "craft" or "craf" or "mater" etc, (mats won't work though, but mate will).
- You can now be in a max of 30 channels at a time. I doubt this affects anyone, but putting it here anyway.
- Stripe is dropping support for Bitcoin soon, so we are too.
