So I've gotten up to level 10 in battling to get housing, but im not sure if I want to actually battle. I feel like I want to harvest instead, but I've heard you can just let the harvestron do that. I don't know which would benefit me most, battling with harvestron or full harvesting and selling for gold.
And If I was to pick harvesting, which would I go for: Mining, Woodcutting, Stonecutting or Fishing?

The harvestron works for you no matter what action you're doing mainly so it shouldn't really effect your decision. It kinda boils down to how much involvement you want to have in the game, since harvesting has fewer things that you need to think about and gear for than battling does.
Personally, I level up in everything since that yields the most fame, which in turn gives more substantial bonuses. The downside to that is while you'll be okay at everything, you will never be the best at anything. Plus it's expensive.

As Joeybeanz says, harvesting is easier, so that's what I'd recommend. However, every 10 battle levels allow you to equip a new tier of gems which boost your harvesting abilities, so you'll likely eventually want to do some battling as well. It looks like most harvesters get to level 30 or 40, though there are some at level 10 or even 1, and some at level 60. I'm a stonecutter (currently #6 in rankings), but I'm working towards battle level 50.
In terms of which harvesting skill to go for, I'd say woodcutting. The mechanics are the same for all of them, but wood has been more expensive on the market than the other three for a couple weeks. All the resources fluctuate, so in the long run it won't matter, but this way you can earn a quick buck while it's still high.

To add to what was said above, if you are torn, and are in a clan, see what your clan needs are. If your clan is short on harvesters to gather mats for upgrades to the clan, then go harvesting. If your clan is lacking battlers to push through the clans ranks, then battle Crafting and carving are also options if you want to help your clan out with gear or gems. Or even just make them to sell in the market
