So you want to buy a house? A few things to know before you start:
1) Your house is a VERY long term project, and costs ALOT. If you're not willing to commit to it, you might want to consider waiting for a while, and instead focusing on collecting Platinum or Crystal. It cost 20 million (or 200 fame) to start the process, plus about 600,000 resources and several million more to get to the Harvestron.
1A) You have to be level 10 (main level, that is, not a TS level) to have the option appear.
2) The harvestron is at this time, the biggest benefit. It lets you harvest WHILE battling, or harvesting something else. It does cost to run (80/resource for short runs up to 150/resource for day long trips), but it lets you essentially to 2 things at once. It's NOT as good as harvesting yourself, though. Double/Rage/etc doesn't effect it, and it goes about 1/2 as fast as you do to start.
3) Several items in the house don't do anything right away. Don't worry! They'll eventually have a tier upgrade (this is when the name changes, not just leveling it up) that will give you a benefit. In general, Leveling an item gives you a bit more of the benefit, while a tier upgrade adds a new benefit.
If you're ready, read on!
Step 1: Buy a plot of land, which cost 20,000,000 Gold, or 200 Fame (your choice). After 12 hours, you have yourself a level 1 house (called a 'hut')
Step 2: Start Building! You can build your first room... the living Room. It costs 10,000 of each of the 4 resources, takes 6:00 to build, and gets you 500 house xp.
Not co-incidently, that's how much house xp you need to get to level 2! That seems to be the process... building rooms and upgrading room features earn you house xp... which unlocks more rooms and upgrades.
Keep in mind the as you move forward, you have to do ALOT of upgrades, and those upgrades get progressively more expensive, so moving from one level to the next can get pretty pricey.

Rooms:
New Rooms cost 10K of each resource for every house level needed to unlock them. So far, they always take 6 hours to build.
Living Room: 10,000 each resource, 6:00 build time, unlocks at level 1
Hallway: 20,000 each resource, 6:00 build time, unlocks at level 2
Bedroom: 30,000 each resource, 6:00 Build time, unlocks at level 3
Workshop: 50,000 each resource, 6:00 Build time, unlocks at level 5 (unlocks Harvestron)
Bathroom: 60,000 each resource, 6:00 Build time, unlocks at level 6
Kitchen: 80,000 each resource, 6:00 Build time, unlocks at level 8
Dining Room:100,000 each resource, 6:00 build time, unlocks at level 10
Den: 120,000 each resource 6:00 Build, unlocks level 12
Sun Room: 140,000 each Resource 6:00 Build unlocks level 14
Courtyard: 150,000 each Resource, 6:00 Build, unlocks level 15
Basement: 160,000 each Resource 6:00 Build unlocks level 16
Ballroom 180,000 each, unlocks at 18
Attic 190,000 each, unlocks at 19
Office 200,000 each, unlocks at 20
Upgrades(it appears that each new item gives 250 xp, and each upgrade 50 xp, but research is still ongoing.

Upgrades:
Upgrades have a level 1 cost of 1000+(Unlock Level*100). The seem to go up with the following
Upgrade Cost formula: (level 1 Cost/8)* (level^2+7) (nice work, Dangderr!).
Upgrade time for level 1 seems to be 1 hour + (unlock level -1)*5 minutes. Level 2 upgrades are the same as Level 1. It seems to go up linearly, where the increase for each level after level 2 is 15 Minutes + (1.25*unlock level). The times here do NOT reflect you're construction bonus.
Each upgrade is worth 100 House xp.
A Tier upgrade generally triggers a new benefit, or improves an existing benefit. It also changes the name of the item (i.e. Wooden Floor becomes Carpeted Floor). Tier Upgrades are worth 250 xp, and do not seem to change the level upgrade costs. Thus far, tier upgrades are equal to the cost of the level 3 upgrade
Some notes of clarification:
-- All stat upgrades stack additively... so if you have 3 level 4 carpeted floors, you get +12 Armor (+4 from each floor)
-- Base stat upgrades that are ' .01% or 1' give you whatever is higher... so you get 1 as a minimum.. once your stats are high enough that .01% give you more than 1, you get that.
- When you unlock 'tier' benefits (such as Carpeted Floor), you must upgrade it in each room separately.

Bed (Applies to Bedroom) Gives Bonus time upon return when you are logged out for more than 30 minutes. It seems you get 3 minutes/hour... It had seemed to give about 30/hour more per level. Other info indicated that the rate is fixed(other than the double bed tier upgrade) and levels increase the maximum time you can receive. Anyone using this regularly? Let us know!
The Bonus time you get is whatever is going on at the time... if nothing is going on, it's regular double.
It's important to note you have to actually log out for this to kick in... if you just close the device/battery dies/etc... it doesn't seem to count.
Bed can upgrade to a 'Double Bed' at level 7 (House level 7, that is)... one would expect that would double the effect .
Bed Upgrades again to 'Queen Bed' at level 12 (costs lvl 5 upgrade cost) No idea what it does yet.
Bed Upgrades to 'King Bed' at level 18 (costs 10400 Wood, Iron Stone.. not sure why that's not a level cost)
In some accidental testing, it seems to give (with a queen bed) around 9 minutes of double per hour of offline time (after the first 30 minutes). I've been told the levels max the maximum amount higher, but I've not been off enough to confirm.

It does cost to run (80/resource for short runs up to 150/resource for day long trips), but it lets you essentially to 2 things at once. It's NOT as good as harvesting yourself, though. Double/Rage/etc doesn't effect it, and it goes about 1/2 as fast as you do to start.
3) Several items in the house don't do anything right away. Don't worry! They'll eventually have a tier upgrade (this is when the name changes, not just leveling it up) that will give you a benefit. In general, Leveling an item gives you a bit more of the benefit, while a tier upgrade adds a new benefit.
If you're ready, read on!
Step 1: Buy a plot of land, which cost 20,000,000 Gold, or 200 Fame (your choice). After 12 hours, you have yourself a level 1 house (called a 'hut')
Step 2: Start Building! You can build your first room... the living Room. It costs 10,000 of each of the 4 resources, takes 6:00 to build, and gets you 500 house xp.
Not co-incidently, that's how much house xp you need to get to level 2! That seems to be the process... building rooms and upgrading room features earn you house xp... which unlocks more rooms and upgrades.
Keep in mind the as you move forward, you have to do ALOT of upgrades, and those upgrades get progressively more expensive, so moving from one level to the next can get pretty pricey.

Upgrades:
Upgrades have a level 1 cost of 1000+(Unlock Level*100). The seem to go up with the following
Upgrade Cost formula: (level 1 Cost/8)* (level^2+7) (nice work, Dangderr!).
Upgrade time for level 1 seems to be 1 hour + (unlock level -1)*5 minutes. Level 2 upgrades are the same as Level 1. It seems to go up linearly, where the increase for each level after level 2 is 15 Minutes + (1.25*unlock level). The times here do NOT reflect you're construction bonus.
Each upgrade is worth 100 House xp.
A Tier upgrade generally triggers a new benefit, or improves an existing benefit. It also changes the name of the item (i.e. Wooden Floor becomes Carpeted Floor). Tier Upgrades are worth 250 xp, and do not seem to change the level upgrade costs. Thus far, tier upgrades are equal to the cost of the level 3 upgrade
Some notes of clarification:
-- All stat upgrades stack additively... so if you have 3 level 4 carpeted floors, you get +12 Armor (+4 from each floor)
-- Base stat upgrades that are ' .01% or 1' give you whatever is higher... so you get 1 as a minimum.. once your stats are high enough that .01% give you more than 1, you get that.
- When you unlock 'tier' benefits (such as Carpeted Floor), you must upgrade it in each room separately.

Bed (Applies to Bedroom) Gives Bonus time upon return when you are logged out for more than 30 minutes. It seems you get 3 minutes/hour... It had seemed to give about 30/hour more per level. Other info indicated that the rate is fixed(other than the double bed tier upgrade) and levels increase the maximum time you can receive. Anyone using this regularly? Let us know!
The Bonus time you get is whatever is going on at the time... if nothing is going on, it's regular double.
It's important to note you have to actually log out for this to kick in... if you just close the device/battery dies/etc... it doesn't seem to count.
Bed can upgrade to a 'Double Bed' at level 7 (House level 7, that is)... one would expect that would double the effect .
Bed Upgrades again to 'Queen Bed' at level 12 (costs lvl 5 upgrade cost) No idea what it does yet.
Bed Upgrades to 'King Bed' at level 18 (costs 10400 Wood, Iron Stone.. not sure why that's not a level cost)
In some accidental testing, it seems to give (with a queen bed) around 9 minutes of double per hour of offline time (after the first 30 minutes). I've been told the levels max the maximum amount higher, but I've not been off enough to confirm.
