Current TS levels: Fishing: 300
Woodcutting: 300
Mining: 287
Stonecutting: 285
do these add up to almost 1200 required levels or stay at 375m each?

Pretty sure it's per trade, not the combined total of all 4 trades.

It is per trade, so it'd be 375m x 4.

It is per trade, so it'd be 375m x 4. you know this really kicks hybrids in the jimmies....not only do I have to keep up with buying tools for crafting and carving but keeping a high level house uses all the resources i can generate and then some occasionally your the one in the very beginning who said " the game is not meant to be played as just one TS or just battling to excel endgame you will have to branch out and do many things"

To be fair, it's not THAT much of an increase in overall cost.
For instance, right now all of my TS's are at level 450. The next tool for each costs 250 crystals. So it is costing me 1,000 crystals to get the next tools for all of my TS's, and at market crystal price that's a cost of 95 million gold per TS level. (1,000 crystals x 3.8m per crystal / 40 TS levels)
This update will end up tacking on another 15 million gold or so to my cost per level. That's only a 15.7% cost increase. Which isn't all that much, and could very well be offset by the fact that the bonus experience that the tools give is going to be increased.

How would this affect Harvestron yields?

I chose to buy the carving crafting tools which come every 10 levels and just as expensive

Frankly speaking. Paying to gain levels seems like a really bad idea for a gold sink.
I've been a Jack of all trades since the beginning, not at all a walk in the park. If anything it's a slow climb, at least the way I am doing it without the use of the harvestron. It's not so much I don't understand the need for a gold sink, but more that what some people might considered a perfect sink, might not be the right approach for other people.
It seems to me, that even if you can play Avabur the way you want, be anything you like. The purpose of harvesting, will eventually soon fall on the harvestron, which already uses gold for each time you send it out. Sure, it sounds fine and all on paper, but what I understand from this, is that with the cost of gaining new levels, the people that are using all their gold on Basic training, extra resources from what is not their main trade, will have even less gold to juggle with in the long run.
I don't mind changes when they keep balance in check. But this change to purchase new levels with gold, seems a little far fetched. Or maybe I just need to read more careful into what you are actually achieving other than trying to make the game more battle oriented.
Sorry for the ranting.

wouldnt it be far easier just to tax resources in the mkt place...and make them account bound until sold so they cannot be sold black market to avoid the tax? If TS'rs are only in it for profit then a tax would be fair and not hurt people who never sell their resources because of house leveling.

If this is being done to make it so people who only TS and sell resources for gold actually have something that they need to spend money on, I can think of a way to do this that doesn't effect the other players as much. Make it so that resources gained from TS'ing and harvestron are untradeable. Then, if someone wants to sell the resources they have gained, they have to be put through a refinery that charges you gold to convert the unmarketable resources to a marketable resource. This makes it so that the people who are TS'ing to re-invest those resources into their characters can do so with no additional cost, but there's a gold sink for the people who only TS to sell the resources for gold. EDIT: apparently jeight had a similar idea

It seems pretty over the top to charge for uncapping on all 4 resources. Rather than having one cap applying to all 4. As if diversifying your skills doesn't take away enough progress from your main skills already and puts a significant halt on your gains, having to pay extra costs on top of the tool costs seems.. excessive.

The refinery idea is interesting! Collect raw resources that then require some sort of gold to make marketable or usable.
EDIT: The refinery could be time based and made faster with more crystal boosts xD (im sure this idea will be a favorite haha) Seriously though there could be some kind of upgrading option for better yields or faster processing (if time based) etc

I was going to suggest that you could either spend gold or spend extra exp to lvl without the gold cost maybe double maybe 10x I dunno exactly since I'm pretty new to the game but other than gold I bought with fame which I've been dumping into crystal 1 crystal a day my gold keeps going down though jeight and joeybeanz have some good ideas too
